Spyware is the term used to describe any software that covertly monitor your computer usage, collect personal information, and possibly interfere with your control over your computer. Note: Toolbars that you did not install appear on your browser which is also a common adware scheme.

In order for you to protect computer and secure your privacy, it is recommended that you install spyware removal software in your computer. You should also maintain up-to-date operating systems and software and although anti-virus software cannot detect all types of spyware, it will prove to be a very helpful part of your system. It is crucial that you keep updating your security utilities because new threats are continuously being developed. Lastly, you should create backup copies of your important documents so that you can minimize the damage just in case you get infected.
