iPhone - Is it really worth it?
Latest buzz in mobile technology may have prodded you to search about iPhone. Well, it’s the newest product of Apple, set to revolutionize the way mobile devices function. Who wouldn’t be enthralled with it, anyway? After all, it combines some of the fantastic features of an iPod, mobile phone, and Internet-ready devices. This means that its user has the capability to watch movies or listen to music while you can still text and call your friends and family. You may even take pictures and videos. Most of all, it offers luxury, convenience, and necessity as you can keep track of your appointments and mails with its voice messaging system, notepad, address book, and electronic calendar.
But before you practically jump from your seat and go to your nearest Apple store, listen first. There are some details you need to know about it. When you get to read them, then decide if this is really what you want.
As a start, iPhone is renowned for “answering” common mobile users’ problems in display screens and keypads. It has, for one, of the biggest display, which measures 3.5 inches. There are no keypads too. Instead, it uses the touch-screen method for navigation and data input, very much similar to an iPod.
Iphone also incorporates Mac’s web browser called Safari. This will enable you to resize webpages to fit for viewing in your iPhone. It gives you the ability to zoom in and out these pages, as well as images. Take note, however, you can’t still download any music or video from iTunes through your iPhone. Instead, it works the opposite way. You need to have your PC first, download these stuffs from the site, and then transfer files to your phone.
Since this is practically new, you just can’t find this anywhere, though there are some scrupulous sellers in eBay who are auctioning them in far lower prices. Authentic and quality Apple iPhones are carried by Cingular Wireless (AT&T) until 2009. If you aren’t in any AT&T network, you have to do some carrier shuffle. You can choose between two options with regards to iPhone. First, there’s the 4GB model with a price tag of $499. The other is much more expensive, priced at $599 but has a memory of 5GB.
Still sounds captivating? It’s entirely up to you. Nevertheless, think deeper. If the iPhone can make your life so much easier, then definitely, shedding a few dollars will be totally worth it.
