How to Remove Zlob

Like many malicious spywares, Zlob can provide unauthorized persons with remote access to your PC or device. And it becomes a tricky affair to get rid of it once it is installed into your computer. This is because it hides its activity by injecting code onto exprlorer.exe and can seriously affect your Windows Operating System by modifying certain files and changing computer settings. It can also hijack your web browser, directing it towards some malicious sites. The Spyware is not easy to detect and remove. Like other spywares, Zlob can be removed by uninstalling it using the add/remove programs utility. But this method has proven unsatisfactory in the past, as Zlob has the capacity to re-install itself even where all indications show that it has been removed.

Zlob can be removed manually and there is also the risk that your computer may be seriously affected in the process. Removing the spyware manually will involve removing files from the DLL and the registry. Further, there is no guarantee that the removal process will be successful. But for those people who are well versed with computers can try to follow these instructions, though again, there is no guarantee that the process will yield results. Non-geeks are strongly advised to consult a well trained technician to remove the spyware manually. Close all the running programs and browsers before embarking on the exercise.

  1. Click on the “Start” button on the taskbar, and then go to “Settings” and then “Control Panel”.
  2. Click on the “Add/Remove Programs” and search for and uninstall the spyware if it found there.

If there is no such luck, you may then want to stop the Zlob processes by going to “Start” button, go to “Run” and then type there “taskmgr”. Click on the processes tab and the running processes shall then be revealed. Anything that looks like the following files should be stopped; msmsgs.exe, nvctrl.exe, msmsgs.exe and nvctrl.exe.

If you want to unregister Zlob from the DDL files, you may proceed to look for and unregister files such as these; uimcu.dll, antzozc.dll, dtjby.dll. To locate the spyware path, you may go to Start-Search-All Files or Folders and type Zlobxa. In the look in, choose My Computer or in the alternative, Local Hard Drives and then search. Once you have the path, go to the “Run “function on the “Start” button and type cmd, and click OK.

From there you may then type cd for you to change the current directory and use the dir command to display the content of the directory. Remove the DDL file that may appear as regsvr32/uSPYWARE.dll, SPYWARE being the name of the file that you want to remove.

To unregister a file from the registry, follow this path;

Start-Run, and then type regedit-OK. Right click on the suspicious file and choose the delete function. During all these processes, something might go wrong and you might end up losing all the data. So make sure you have a back-up. Finally, if the Zlob had already hanged your settings like the homepage, choose your favorite homepage and save changes.
